 Culture Plans and Experiences

Your are invited to attend a one day Culture workshop on Thursday, November 23rd at MacKenzie Hall, Gaelic College, St. Ann”s.  The workshop will focus on three items :

1) Understanding Culture Plans,
2) Current Culture Experiences offered in Victoria County
3) Creating New Culture Experiences in Victoria County.

This workshop is part of the 3 year Victoria County Tourism Strategy and is hosted by Municipality of the County of Victoria Recreation & Tourism Dept. Ms. Joella Foulds will be our MC and Facitiator for the day.

The Program :

9:00 am. – 9:45 am.      Registration
9:45 am. – 10:00 am.    Welcome and Introductions
10:00 am. – 11:00 am.   Understanding Culture Plans – A panel session

Recent E mail Scam.

Please find below a notice to residents of Victoria County of a recent internet phishing scam using Interact E-Transfer.

Victoria County RCMP would like to advise residents of a recent email scam using Interac E-Transfers.

If you receive an email notification from a business saying they have money that can be transferred by Interac to you it is a scam.  Do not respond or click any links.

This is a Phishing scam where they are trying to get personal banking information from you.  If you receive an email like this it can be forwarded tophishing@interac.ca, their fraud team will investigate.

Always be know who you are sending money to an Interac e-Transfer transaction cannot be reversed once a recipient has deposited the funds.

If you are unsure of the request contact the sender by some other means such as calling or using a different email, do not reply from the original message.

Any questions or concerns call your local RCMP detachment for assistance.
