Lecture 1: Albert Marshall with the video “Did Eels change the course of History?”
Time: 10:30am – 12:00pm
Eskasoni Elder Albert Marshall will join us to tell us the story of how Eels helped the French at Fortress Louisbourg survive during difficult times in the 1700’s and how this story could’ve changed history if things happened differently.
Lecture 2: Official Video Launch for “Unama’ki Mi’kmaw Basket Making”
Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm
Project Manager Marie Battiste, along with Nin’ewey Video Productions owner Barry Bernard welcome you to join them on the revision of a 20 year old video project on Mi’kmaw basket making and it’s significance to the Mi’kmaw people and the importance of keeping this very important cultural tradition alive.
